Overview & legal bases

We process personal data only as far as necessary to provide a functional website. The main legal bases are Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), e.g. for advertising.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). When you access the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, date/time, requested page, user agent) in server log files to deliver the site and ensure security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place; transfers to the USA are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses.

Web analytics (Cloudflare)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used (e.g. number of visits, pages viewed, referrers, country). This service is privacy-friendly: it sets no cookies, does not store data that identifies you, and performs no cross-site tracking. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring reach).

Time synchronization

To show the time accurately, the page contacts an external time server on load (timeapi.io or worldtimeapi.org). For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted to that provider. The sole purpose is to obtain the precise current time (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Local storage in your browser

Features such as pinned cities and your language/country selection are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
